Optimal mobile location tracking by multilayered model strategy

چکیده

W e developed a multi layered model for t h e purposes such as mobil i ty m a n a g e m e n t , mobile activity modeling, and opt imal paging and mobile location tracking. A bott leneck in the forward control channel (FOCC) i s caused due t o constraints such as the l imited bandwidth and number of radio frequency channels, and i n e f i c i e n c y of convent ional mobile paging methods in mobile telecommun ica t ion systems. In order t o m i n i m i z e the paging cost and t o m a x i m i z e uti l ization of t h e bandwidth in the F O C C , we develop a n e w paging schema, based o n the multi layered model, w i th the opt imal part i t ion of paging zones. B y using t h e refined mobile’s probability pa t t e rn stored in a statistical profile, w e employ t h e genetic algorithm and the probabilistic cost f u n c t i o n t o generate the opt imal part i t ion of paging zones such that t he paging cost t o locate a mobile s tat ion as well as t he bandwidth consumpt ion in t h e F O C C i s m in imi zed .
